Happy New Year!
I have been thinking, isn’t it amazing what "new" can do? Having just finished celebrating Christmas, most of us received something new. I have bookshelves full of books but my friend gave me two new quote books and I was thrilled! I thought about when I could take some time to savor the moments, read through the books and soak in the wisdom. With all that had to be done between Christmas and New Year’s, I still managed to make the time for those books (although I am still in the process of soaking in the wisdom.) In my mind there were few better ways to start a new year. New can be inspiring!
Coinciding with Christmas, was the release of our first ever Spring/Summer catalogue here at The Angel Company. It represented a lot of hard work on the part of our Angels and our corporate staff. The final product, however, is something we are proud of. We are happy with the new papers, new stamp sets, new products, new layouts, and new cover, along with a stronger-than ever vision of who we are and what we stand for. New product translates into new creativity and new life! New can be energizing!
With the new year, also comes the notorious "New Year’s Resolutions." We think about things we want to accomplish, changes we’d like to make, dreams we’d like to realize (or take a few steps closer to) and the kind of grown ups we’d like to become. I know some do not make "resolutions" because it can cause a feeling of failure when they are not kept. Regardless, the new year is a time to reflect on the year we have just finished and look ahead to all that 2008 holds. New can be life changing!
What is it that is new in your life? Do you have a new job, a new house, a new baby? Perhaps there is a new haircut or recipe you’ve been wanting to try, a new book you’ve been wanting to read or a new person you’ve been meaning to reach out to. Is there a new attitude you want to try on or a new lense that you’d like to look through? Whatever it may be, new can be exciting, inspiring, energizing and even life changing. I encourage you to embrace the "new" that this new year brings and take note of what new can do for you!
May you and your family be abundantly blessed in this new year!
