I apologize for not posting on Friday. We are amidst a flurry of activity as a group of TAC corporate staff leave for Grand Rapids, Michigan today. I will also be gone this coming Friday, so will not post again until August 1.
With no time left for thoughtful writing, I thought I would at least leave you with a very short list of inspiring books. They are books I have read in the last month, filled with inspiring thoughts and ways to get you to think outside of the box. Enjoy!
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch
Be Inspi(Red) – Words of Hope and Courage – Published by Hallmark
Journal Revolution – Rise Up and Create by Linda Woods and Karen Dinino
Love Life – Published by Compendium
The following are just a few of the quotes from Love Life that I hope encourage you to ‘love the ordinary’…
Love Your Own Backyard… Experiencing our familiar rooms and belongings, our local supermarket and neighborhood streets as if we had never been there, is also traveling. Melanie Peter
Love the Open Road… When you’re traveling, you are what ou are, right there and then. People don’t have your past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road.
Love Taking Your Time… It is a great art to saunter. Henry David Thoreau
Love the Ordinary… Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass by you in the quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Mary Jean Irion
Enjoy these next couple weeks of summer and I’ll be back with you soon!
