“My ideas usually come, not at my desk, but in the midst of living.”
So far in November, I have accomplished my goal to post every day. All the posts thus far have been stories from my Random Acts of Kindness Party that I had on October 27. I still have more!
Tonight, however, I have another picture in my mind. It is the group of young adults that join us for dinner every Tuesday. This week I asked if before they left, they would write down something that they are grateful for and put them in the “Abundance” box on our living room table. The next time I looked into the living room, they were all gathered around that table, on their knees, quietly penning their thanks. I so badly wanted to take a picture. It was truly an awesome sight, but also felt like a sacred moment. I decided to treasure that picture in my heart and mind instead.
How fitting that in the midst of living, we would not hesitate to take the moment, bow our knee and give thanks.
This month, however you can make a way, whether on paper, on Facebook, or in a journal, I encourage you to continue keeping track of all that stirs you to gratitude.
